Faculty of Stomatology in Belgrade got a section for treating children suffering from malign diseases. All BC Partizan players contributed to acquiring equipment for this section, providing help for treating the youngest patients. Professor Dr Zoran Vulićević had originally come up with the idea to link young and successful sportsmen to one more humane idea. The very operating ordination was painted in special colours with a special painted clock that has jersey numbers of BC Partizan players instead of real numbers while opposite to the clock the kids are able to see a rabbit that represents the coach Vujošević.
"When I came up with the idea and presented it to the players asking for help, I only had to wait for ten minutes and there they were with the answer. The club got an idea to offer Pera Božić's jersey signed by all the players on an internet auction and invest all the profit of the auction to the equipping of the Cabinet for Malign Diseases suffering children. I want to thank to the black and white guys who proved their big heart and character on court many times, fighting for the club and fans, and proved that their heart was even bigger on this special occasion as they helped our Clinic and our young patients when we needed it most, “, said Professor Vulićević.
BC Partizan was represented by Petar Božić, Aleksandar Rašić, Aleksandar Marić and Strahinja Milošević on this special opening of the Ordination, and they were hosted by the Dean of the Faculty and all the professors that were involved in creation of this project.
"We had a desire to help and leave space to all those who can help any way they can, because, in these hard times for us all, there are always those who find it much harder than we do,“said the skipper of the Black and Whites.
One of the best proofs of the size of the Black and White family is that Predrag Drobnjak and Nikola Peković were also heavily involved in this beautiful and humane action altogether with their former team mates.
BC Partizan has placed the original official captain Božić's jersey signed by all the players on the auction for the first time! All the money collected by the highest bid will be transferred on the account of the Clinic for Pediatric and Preventive Stomatology. All the info on this auction is available here. |
