Pavlović played for Budućnost, was drafted in 2003 in the NBA, and was a member of Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans, Boston Celtics and Portland Trailblazers.
For ten seasons 'enrolled' in total 619 games. In NBA was averaging 4.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in regular season and 4.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in the playoffs.
He played NBA finals 2007 with Cleveland, and in the following year came to the conference finals.
He played for national team of Serbia and Montenegro, but never played for any of the countries after independence.
In February 2014 he signed his first contract with Partizan and won national title with black-and-whites. In December same year he signed a new contract with the club from Humska until the end of the season.
